Rachael Warfield

A Vocal Powerhouse

By Robert Waldner

“I always knew I wanted to be an entertainer,” says Rachael Warfield. “When I was a kid, my Grandmother would find me performing for my friends on the front

patio when she would pick me up for school.” Both of Rachael’s parents had a deep love for music that they bestowed upon their daughter as a child. “Their passion

awakened an affinity for music deep in my soul,” she says. “My mother encouraged me to take piano, voice, and acting lessons.”

Rachael’s free spirit was never one to be caged inside societal norms. “I got into Douglas Anderson School of The Arts when I was fourteen,” she says. ”While I was

honored to be there, the curriculum was too regimented for me.” Thus, the summer before her sophomore year, Rachael went to live with her mom in Miami. There,

she met renowned music producer, Tony Coluccio, with whom she worked until she was twenty one. “Tony helped develop me as an artist,” says Rachael. “He was

critical to my success.”

Rachael’s early twenties presented a musical turning point. She yearned to have more control over her career. “I felt naive,” she says. “I didn’t understand enough about

the business aspect of the music industry.” So, Rachael enrolled in UNF and graduated with her International Business degree. “Learning how to represent myself was

important to me,” she says.

In 2015, Rachael met Grammy nominated producer Anthony Bell, along with a group of investors with ‘Ennecho Records’. “They saw me play in Ponte Vedra and

loved my style,” she says. After working with Ennecho for two years, Rachael branched off on her own. “I felt our work together wasn’t in alignment with my authentic

artistry. I wanted to create freely and shifted toward self representation,” she says.

Today, Rachael’s “bluesy, jazzy” vibe is recorded under her own label, Rox Records, LLC. She also publishes under her own Rox Publishing LLC. Splitting her

time between Northeast Florida and LA, Rachael has an EP in the works which is being produced by Anthony Bell and features platinum artist Jazmine Sullivan on

background vocals for one song. Covering the east and west coasts, Rachael performs both solo and with ‘The Rachael Warfield Band’. Upcoming show dates can be

found at RachaelWarfield.com. “Maturing as an artist means being able to put the building blocks together,” she says. “This journey has been about believing in myself.”
